Leaves Eyes é uma banda de Symphonic Metal com elementos de música folclórica,formada em 2003 logo depois que Liv Kristine foi demitida do Theatre of Tragedy.A banda foi formada pelo marido de Liv, Alexander Krull, e membros da banda de death metal alemã Atrocity.
O som da banda combina metal com elementos clássicos.A maioria das musicas são cantadas apenas por Liv,ocasionalmente é acompanhada pelo vocal gutural de Alexander Krull.
Seu primeiro álbum, Lovelorn, foi lançado em 2004 e o segundo álbum,Vinland Saga, foi lançado em 30 de maio de 2005 ambos pela Napalm Records.Vinland Saga reconta a jornada de descobrimento de Vinland (i.e. América do Norte) por Leif Erikson. O EP Legend Land foi lançado em 2 de junho de 2006 como continuação de Vinland Saga.
Liv Kristine pensou no nome da banda, que é uma referência a seu primeiro nome. "Leaves" é conectado a natureza, que sempre teve uma grande influência para Liv.Ela escreve todas as letras das músicas da banda,que em sua maioria falam de amor,natureza e história.
